IH-555S-21ib - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Cut Jeans - Indigo/Black

Our super slim cut jeans in a 21oz indigo warp/black weft selvedge denim. The warp is indigo rope dyed, the weft is black sulphur dipped, and these will fade over time with high contrast as the indigo abrades exposing the white rope-dyed core against the black weft.

I have some 21 oz denim and a pair XHS. Currently, wearing a pair of PBJ for the Indigo Invitational but hate how they make my legs look (sorry random tangent). So, I think you may be right, but I may try the 888  :-\

A couple questions on these bod boys.

• is this the same breathable, fabric as the flagship 21oz or is it a different beast?

• will the end product be a mostly black (with fades of course) looking pair of jeans?

It is in fact the same breathable fabric as the flagship 21OZ. The end product will definitely not be a mostly black with fades pair of jeans. While this is a new denim in the weight department,there are plenty of amazing examples of Indigo/Black denim that has been faded in the 19 and 25OZ versions. Check out those threads,or maybe someone who is more savvy than I am will post a link to some of those fades,especially the 19OZ I/B denim that Giles faded.

I was told it’s not the same as the signature 21oz

Correct me if I’m wrong,but I thought it was said that it has the twisted weft like the signature denim,which is one of the attributes that makes it what it is.

It does have the same weaving attributes, but the weft in this denim is black, in our original 21oz denim, the weft is natural.  If you want the 555 cut in our signature denim, these are what you want:

For some reason, the 21oz Indigo x Black in the 555 cut is NOT showing up in their website currently! Just these three.
