Why are these one-washed but 717 are unwashed?

The first batch of these that we made were in a factory when a large typhoon hit the Okayama Province and the factory flooded, badly. We needed to wash these to remove the floodwater, and we decided that we preferred the look of one washed mercerised chino over that of the unwashed. It also makes sizing a lot simpler. If and when we remake the 717 we will probably one wash those too.

wearing my pair today for the first time this summer, so much cooler/comfortable than my SBGs which have got a little on the tight side lately

how would you size that pair of chinos compared to a 777- 21oz ? Should i go same size or size up ? i can fit both 777. in 29 and 30 for different looks but not sure where to go for these chinos. any help appreciated !

@keenok You will want to size for comfort in these so I would measure what fits you well using our how we measure guide and factor in no stretch really to be had in this fabric.

I picked up a pair at Brund yesterday. I have an obsession with khaki chinos - I wear them to work quite a lot, and have about four pairs in use already.

I sized up from my usual size 34, and the fit seems spot on. I’ll obviously need to get them hemmed, though.

First impression is that the fabric is very good - should last I lot longer than the other ones I have (all different brands). At the same time they aren’t a lot heavier, and they are definitely “smart” enough for my needs.

If they hold up as expected I could see IH chinos gradually replacing all the others.
