Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…

Fantastic choice @Kirk they look great on you.
I had the same concern about Dealan’s cat eye shape. I think it looks more extreme in pictures I’d seen than they did on my face. They were in contention but there wasn’t an ideal colorway in stock and Walker won the day over Kaine in the finals.

I’ll second that Kirk Nice choice!

Great choice, they fit you perfectly. Bonus if anyone knows the movie that “one of us, one of us” is from[emoji3]

Thanks, all! Appreciate the feedback. Grateful for the forum and everyone who contributed to this thread, without I probably don’t discover this incredible eyewear brand.
The surplus color is growing on me. The Fellini frames and color provide a nice compliment to the Dealan’s, which help me justify owning the two pairs.
The inside of the frames are spectacular. The gold hardware looks great against the olive color and the hairline engraved wire core design is an incredible detail.

ordered those yesterday, Walker argyle. I hope they fit and look good on me …bit nervous ::)

@Kasi will you be breaking into @LewisStonehouse's home to do so?
-
Wow, those are magnificent!
What shade of green would you say that is? A hunter green, maybe?
@Paul9221 I’m not sure how to answer your question.
The color definitely changes with the lighting. Direct sunlight and the frames give off a color similar to the ihtl-1213-olv(which I don’t own) When it’s not as bright out the color is much darker. Here’s a picture of the glasses with my iht-1610-olv. And the 1213 below for comparison.

@Kirk yeah, sorry, I kinda realized that it's a tough question to answer after asking it
But look at you, you compared it to a shirt I own!
It's a beautiful color. Before I pulled the trigger on the Donovan Noir, I was hovering over Rover. It's a lovely color but I picked the black (Noir) because black goes with everything. If my wife ever gives me my credit card back, I'll see about picking up something in Rover

No worries at all. I just wouldn’t consider myself an expert on color palettes :D. I don’t think the pictures of the surplus color on the JMM website are the best indicator of the color, mainly because they’re studio shots and not taken outdoors.
Yeah, you can’t go wrong with Noir. That color was sold out in the Fellini and Dealan when I was looking. Rover is excellent too.

Eyeing (no pun intended) two sets of optical frames. still very skeptical about buying without trying on glasses..
Noland

I hear you on that one, @louisbosco. I'll admit that I bought mine without trying on and lucked out super hard with the fit, etc. You have a spot local to you?
-
@henry_david no, not at the moment unfortunately. but when I go back to Perth in a few weeks for an extended holiday, I might.. but it also depends on what styles they carry..
I can get away with sunglasses but with normal glasses, it's a little hard for me.

Both of those are cool. The problem with RX frames is that JMM does not sell them directly. I suppose the idea is that you should buy them from your optician. To be fair, they're available at other online stores. I have two JMM frames as readers. I love them but if I had to do it again, I'd get lighter ones (mines are Molino and Fellini).

I've starting looking at a few places that might carry them. both of the models you have are cool, similar styles to what I used to have. I'm starting to move away into more roundish square models..
