Ultra Heavy Raw (UHR), AKA 21/23oz Denim

I’ve been lucky enough to snag the 555 UHR sample. I received them yesterday opened them up after I finished work and they didn’t disappoint like anything IH produce is out of this world  incredible detail and craftsmanship is spot on.

Hoping to get the initial soak out the way this evening ready to start putting these through there paces tomorrow.

I’ll be logging hours/days worn
And posting updates on here along the way.

Weight, hand, weave, colour, shrinkage, evo… they’re as different as two pairs of five pocket indigo denim jeans can be.

With the initial soak out the way and Day 1 over and done with I can say these UHR feel incredible after wearing 555-XHSIB & XHS for the past 18 months which take some breaking in these feel comfortable
Fit feels quite similar to my 555s-SBG not as soft but pretty close.

You planning on washing them in a machine ever? My last pair of UHR I soaked three times but I never washed them in the washer.

No pal I’ll just soak in the tub or a wash with samurai soap when the times right .

You planning on washing them in a machine ever? My last pair of UHR I soaked three times but I never washed them in the washer.

the more you wash, the better the contrast will be. from my previous pair, the contrast was insane. and I washed it 6 or so times during a 2 year stint

A good hot machine wash will also help to get all the shrinkage out.  They look great.  Congratulations on the score.  UHR have been my fastest faders.

Day 3

Enjoying the experience the fit is roomier then my other bunch of 555’s I have but I quite like the extra room no restrictions working in them .

Thanks for all the advice with Washing   with my XHSib went 6 months before I gave them a soapy soak in the bath aiming at doing the same with these unless recommended otherwise?
