IHSH-297-BLK - Blanket Lined Denim C.P.O Shirt

When Giles and Alex mentioned that this shirt would have tonal stitching on the production version I swooped in and picked up the sample as I do like a bit of contrast. It is actually a large a little small for me, but absolutely doable.
I’ll get pics up, but the denim is very interesting stuff indeed. It has an almost silky hand, is very soft and pliable and very light. However the lining still gives the shirt a lot of heft.
The end result is something super comfortable, eminently wearable, and yet very warm.

I can tell this is going to be an all year round everyday essential item for me. Casual and comfortable but still sharp. The two different linings make it pop too. Seriously easy to wear.
It is 17C today and works great as a jacket but the lighter denim with the blanket will make it emminently wearable under a big type III or winter coat.
The denim is the lightest I’ve every had from IH and it is really nice. Lovely soft hand, some texture, and a great sheen to it. I don’t think it is super black, and suspect it will wear in rather nicely.

@Paul9221 it was the pre-production sample and was only available in L. However, I thought the measurements looked doable and I was right, they are. It may be a little short for some peoples tastes (not mine), and I can only wear it over a tee as opposed to as a true shacket. The bonus is I can get my bigger type III over it.
It remains to be seen if the production version has the same dims.

Looks like the black shirt still has the non-tonal stitching. Is Japan going to stick with the "louder" stitching?

This will be launching with contrast stitching, not tonal. Production mix up our side. Sorry for the confusion.

I realise it is a matter of taste, but I can assure anyone on the fence that the black with contrast stitching is very, very cool in real life…
