Last meal in Maryland.  I leave tomorrow morning to haul the rest of our stuff back home.

Soft crab sandwich on Italian bread with tomatoes and my father-in-law’s homemade tomatillo salsa and a Chardonnay…

Not much to see on the drive Mon and Tues.  Oklahoma was decidedly unexceptional…

The other 9 states were about the same.  Listened to a lot of Radiolab.

@Chris sadly i didn’t stop for shit.  It was a long and miserable drive.  The middle aged body is not built to sit in a car for 17 hour stretches.  At least mines not.

Ugh, that does sound miserable. It's been 15 years or so since I did that many driving hours in a day and probably 25 since I've done more than one day like that.  I can't imagine doing it now that I'm old and everything hurts before I even start the day. You have my sympathy…

Thank you.  I was pretty loopy on the 2nd day each way. It’s a miracle I made it… twice!

I’ve got an update for you guys.  I went to get a haircut today.  My barber is a super cool guy named Fonzy.  His shop is in a storage container co-op that is home to all kinds of hipster joints.  Coffee, BBQ, brewery, dispensary.  We were talking about my plans for work, of which I had none, then he up and offered me a job. He’s going take me on as an apprentice and I’m going learn how to be a barber.  I’m pretty excited.  The new life is working out so far.

I’m pumped.  Finally a job I can wear jeans to.  And get neck tats!!

He’s a super nice guy and the place is super cool. Barber was def on my list of jobs I thought would fit me but I didn’t think I could make work.  He said all the right things.  Can’t wait.

Back in the days when I had hair and got it cut by a professional, my stylist told me that she had to completely separate her work and non-work clothing, because no matter how thoroughly she washed stuff, there was always hair in her work clothes.
