It cant work like that.  For a website to work, anything that has not actually been sold needs to show as available. So until you have actually paid for the item in your cart has not been sold.  So multiple people can have the same item in their cart, but only one can actually buy it.  The obverse is that only one person can have the item in the cart, does not bother to purchase and it is unavailable for anyone else.  It's a complete pain in the arse, but there is no better solution (that we have found anyway)….

Thanks for the explanation @Giles  and yes it is a pain….12.00 I had it in my basket read to pay...12.02 I emailed them asking what happened to my item.

Hey Bryan, I'll share the trick that I've used to get the Wills jacket twice now.

I log in about 20 minutes before it's due to go on sale, I add something to my cart, like a hat or a shirt, then I go to check out. This is just to make sure that you're logged in and your information is already filled out right before you submit the order.  You don't want any surprises between adding it to your cart and submitting payment. It's also to quicken your fingers.  Don't forget to remove that item before the next part 🙂

A minute or two before the jacket goes live, go to the jacket page and just refresh every few seconds. As soon as you see that page change,  add, check out, and submit.

It's not magic, it just takes fast hands and preparation. If you're reading measurement charts when it launches, you lost. If you're pulling your credit card out of your wallet at launch time, you lost.  You need to know your size, be logged in, have your credit card number entered, and know where the submit buttons are.  It's a pain, I know.

I imagine that they'll rerun the indigo version, and I hope that you get it!

This is the way. Also, I just saw on Instagram that they plan on doing another run of the blue Wills later this year. You'll get it next time!

I did everything you said above apart from the adding something to the cart prior.
I'll be sure to add next time.

Thats what I did also.  I added a hat before as a test and went all the way through until the final buy button.

I got mine on my ipad and actually had my google pay account logged in and just hit buy. Made the whole thing happen pretty quickly, although I did try this 3 other times also.

I watched as well. I love listening to Chris wax poetic about boots. I learn something new every time.

Thanks for letting me know that the IG live was saved so it could be viewed later.  I tried to listen to it in the background this morning, but I kept getting interrupted and missed about half of it.  Chris is a helluva nice guy in person or on the phone, and so is Mike.  Can't say enough nice things about Wesco and Ship John.

As for the Wills jacket woes, as stated before, you really can't get one unless you're signed up for a payment system that saves your information.  I use Shop Pay, and I log in 10 minutes before the schedule time.  Mike has tried really hard to make the system as fair as possible.  Thankfully, they open spots every month, and it's way better than it used to be when the list was just indefinitely closed.  I handled a Wills Jacket two weeks before the list closed, and by the time I wrapped my head around the price, I'd missed the opportunity.  I got on the monthly list a little over a year later.  It's worth the wait.

I'll also note:  I don't fit the Ship John shirts well, but that's my body more than their pattern.  I have the odd combo of long arms and a short torso - perfect for Iron Heart, totally backwards for Ship John.

I finally broke down and ordered one of the Brown Striped Patton shirts recently, and I sized up to an XL for the sleeve length.  Predictably, it was too big in the body, but I had great results taking it to a great local seamstress I use.  She took 2" per side out of the body and shortened the length by 1".

It cost me $35 total, and the shirt is a perfect fit now.  It sounds like a massive taper, but it's really only a 4" drop from the chest, and it was totally worth it.  She sewed the seams the same as they came and you'd never know the work was done.

Hey @Brock or @Jett129 , did you guys get any shrink in those brown Patton shirts?  Mine just arrived.  It's like half a size too large.  I think that a hot-wash/dry might get it to the perfect size.

Mine was a little too big as well, so I got washed and dried it and definitely got shrinkage in the sleeve length and a little throughout the rest of the shirt. Made it fit better and softened the fabric as well. Sorry but I didn’t take any measurements.

I didn't need exact measurements, just wondering if you felt like it shrunk at all.  I'll give it a hot-wash/dry.  Did you use a delicate or normal wash cycle?  I know all machines are different but I get the feeling that this shirt doesn't need a delicate touch.

I used a normal setting, but had all the soil and spin options maxed out. My washing machine is a top loader with an impeller instead of an agitator. Dried on the hottest setting. It definitely shrunk some, but after washing and drying and using drier sheets the shirt lays/drapes better on me. Got 2 thumbs up from the wife on the resultant fit. Hope this helps.

Just looked at the chart. The thighs are extremely slim. I have stick legs and even the 002 cut seems like it would be way too snug. Unfortunately I don't have the right body type for his shirts either. Just glad I fit in a Wills.

I have the same issue. The 001 is too tight in the thigh and crotch ( and I'm slim ) and the 002 is too baggy. I guess I'll have to sell these new 001 Shaver jeans.
