Well, I am an XL in the "old" version.  I need that for the length (though it is still way too short), but the chest was too large.  In the new version, I am an L…

Sweats are the things that we get the highest incidence of returns on.  People either won't heed our advice, or think that they will be long enough, despite what the measurements say, and they are desperate to have one.
So they order one, and find out that a) the measurements don't lie b) Nor do we.....

With this in mind, I felt funny ordering an XXL hoodie but it fits smaller than my Carhartt L hoodie if that helps anyone. Smaller in width and length…but luckily the Carhartt L is too big on me so the XXL IH is just right.

Is this the IH Lockdown line made for working at home?

Any of them have the OG shorter length? [emoji1]

How much shorter are we talking here?  The current Mediums are only 0.5in longer than the ones from about 7 years ago, which is still borderline belly shirt in my opinion.

neph93 is one of the few people who prefers the shorter length that we have made over the past years. Any variation in the length between sweats made 15 years ago and prior to SS21 would have been purely coincidental. From SS21 onwards, we have made a concerted effort to add an inch of length to the body across the board. Natural variation is still a factor, but in theory, these should fit longer than ever before and therefore no longer be belly shirts

Future iterations are being made with a longer body than the current ones. This makes sense for IH as most people want them that way. I like the current ones better, but accept that I’m in the minority.

I have no idea what it’s like to stand over 6’, so I can’t claim to understand. I’m still disappointed in y’all “TALLS” for not buying those ridiculously long 7.5oz tees that were made IN MULTIPLE COLORS (that have never been made again) in 2014. Hopefully we have enough IH addicts nowadays to sell out of everything. My yellow and orange and green tees were stolen and I miss them.

Long or short, buy these hoodies folks!

I too am in the minority concerning length.  At 5’10”, I prefer the shorter length on sweats (hoodies) as well as Type III jackets.

I thought the longer body models were already released, which is why I was surprised that the ones in the shop right now are not really any longer than the previous ones.

Looks like I'll have to keep my eye on the new releases since I'm currently wearing sweatshirts every day.

I would check with the crew @DrPat There has to be some variance in measurements. Maybe they could find one that is different than the chart. I did that with my Olive 1610 and they found one that was closer to my ideal measurements.

There is no way the current models will have a variation large enough that suits me.  I'll wait for the new models.

I somehow missed the discussion about the new fit.  Will the hood shape also be changed?  If I wear the hood on the current model it pulls up the shoulders a lot.

I size up to (L) to get a bigger hood. Not ideal for you obviously. But the bigger hoods are definitely nice and comfy

I’m six foot but have long top half and short legs. The long hoodies accentuate that while the shirt ones mitigate it visually. I also dig that they work better under type III’s and vests, and the late 70’s/early 80’s vibe that shorter tops have.
