Get in touch with the Iron Heart Crew, they will find you the matching pair..
      Every pair measurements are different..

      Thanks! I'll do that  🙂

so you're saying the new JBJ measurements cannot be compaired to the new IH measurements?

Not if they measure differently, no.  That's why we suggest you do this:

As Giles points out, measuring methods vary. In addition different denim will shrink and stretch differently. By measuring your pair, yourself, using the IH method we know exactly what a worn used pair that works for you should be. These are our «target measurements». By then using what we know about the way XHS behaves we can work out which size will have starting dims that get you close to your target measurements.

I keep looking at these and I am seriously tempted. These are comprised of 2 different elements I pestered Giles for for several years. I hope maybe there's still a pair when I go back to work, if I ever go back to work.  😢

@Tuefar Thanks. I have not tried but if I were a cyclist I would probably choose a cut with a higher rise.

So uhm.. Another [stupid] question: how to determine one's inseam lenght. I figure to take a pair of denims with a good length, then cuff them the way I want - measure the difference and add it to the inseam (taking shrinkage into account). Do you gurus have a golden way, or does the above sound legit?

Also - if they're too loose, I see some people do hot soaks. Not owning a tub, would a 60 degree celcius/140 degree fahrenheit machine wash be ok to get some shrink going?

Just measure the length of a pair that fits you well in the length add one inch on for shrinkage (a bit more if you want to be ultra-safe).  Voila, you have your length.

I would be super-wary about chucking them in a washer at 60.  I think you will most likely end up with white streaks. I'd start at a gentle 40C wash, inside out, but make sure the jeans are soaking wet before you put them in the washing machine, and try not to spin or tumble dry.

Thanks Giles! Issue is, I don't have a jean as long as the one I want (ie. none of my jeans af 'cuffable' 🙂

Was going to give these a soak yesterday, good thing I didn't because I poured some caramel syrup down my leg today. Even got it in the cuff. Will a soak remove the sugary liquid our just give them a wash?

Maybe try to get the syrup off first,by just using a wet cloth, maybe with a little detergent/soap on it. If that doesn’t work you may have to wash. Maybe you can rub the syrup off while they’re soaking.

@Nskelton With all respect to @Jett129  I would not try any kind of spot wash. You just end up with weird patchy jeans. Syrup is essentially sugar and sugar dissolves in water. A long soak in warm soapy water with a little agitation should do tje trick.
