      I did!

Now to order more parts. I’d like to do some 8” risers and pipes/tune. The 117 is a torque monster and I can’t wait to let her breathe more!

That is a beautiful bike! Did you have the paint done custom or do it yourself?

Yes, paint is custom. I have zero talent for this haha. The rest is mainly done by myself.

I wanted a blue bike but nothing called to me like the low rider.

I may have to have it painted. Would love to have it done in something similar to BMW’s Frozen Portimao Blue Metallic. Something similar to this…I was a dumb man for selling this car lol

I love the color but am not a fan of matte paints, but this mainly since I have been detailing cars/bikes as a side job and matte paints are basically not polishable…

Polish is definitely a no go but there’s a few companies that make some great products for matte finishes. I’ve used Dr. Beasleys in the past and it’s done wonderfully.

My favorite pipes I’ve ever had on any bike is the V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe. It gives the majority of the power increase in the middle of the power band, where we tend to do most of our riding. The sound is awesome.

Now my helmet is made in Japan too 😉 if you’re considering a Shoei, they are 100% worth the money. Night and day compared to my last helmet.

@Choko Very nice helmet and definitely worth it!!  Someone once explained to me that the top helmets may be expensive, but how much is it worth to you for the thing it’s protecting…?

@Choko Actually picked myself up a Shoei over Christmas (glamster) and I can 100% agree, chalk and cheese compared to other helmets I've owned

I too have a Glamster but rarely wear it. I prefer open face helmets. Mainly wearing when cold or I have long highway rides. It is however the best fitting helmet. I do as well habe the JO open face helmet which is really nice too.

@Ross yeah man I love the glamster! But they’re not for sale in the US. All I’ve seen is overpriced ones on eBay

@Dmart absolutely, I really got it as a crap weather helmet (which is a lot of the time here in the UK haha). I've been looking at open face helmets for the summer but never owned one, any recommendations?

@Choko is it not? how odd

@Ross Do you need to comply with ECE regulations for helmets? Or do you care to comply? If yes, the Shoei JO is a really great helmet and compared to other open face helmets not too mushroom head like. The smallest ECE compliant helmet I know would be the DMD vintage https://www.dmd.eu/en/jet/ I have this as well and it’s low profile, thousands of different styles available and fits me well.
My holy grail however would be a Joe King helmet. Not ECE compliant but the best looking in my opinion. Kinda hard to get though.

@Dmart I do need to comply with ECE and was actually considering the Shoei JO helmet. So might go that way in a few months time. Cheers for the input!

                                        Hey all, newish member here.

Been riding many years, still riding most of the year despite the British weather not giving us much to enjoy.

Here's a few of my bikes over the years. That white Sporty got me round London hundreds of times before it got trashed (along with me) in a t-bone.

I regret selling the blue Evo FXDL, looks probably aren't to everyone's taste but man what a blast to ride.

I moved away from Harleys in recent years and ride the 1200 Scrambler.

Bonus shot of me wearing my trusty N1 on the aforementioned Sporty. And yeah that's a bin bag on the seat… British weather.

Great collection. Although I’m a Harley guy, I really like the scrambler. I have to ride one once.

nice… I do like the FXDL... particularly the bars, and it does look like it will handle.

Here's a couple of pics of two of my stable of 7, The first is the 900 cafe racer on the left of the photo I built in 2017, the second is an 83 Tenere 600 I rebuilt and restored in 2019
