Hey all, my Y2 kakishibu horsehide jacket needs a little moisturizing after some sun tanning. I’m a little low on mustang paste. Any other suggestions?

        Belt he made for me.

I have the same one and it's the thickest and chonkiest belt I own. Love it.

          @Jeanmoreau:

I really know nothing about belts so I don’t know what belt buckle.. A normal looking one?

B Weiss is 500 dollars. I can’t be paying that much for a belt. I’m thinking around 100 maybe even less? Is that possible for something decent?

What about those ones that start out as really light then get darker as you wear them? Is that legit or some sort of gimmick?

bravestarselvage has some decent belts for under $100.00. buckles are interchangable.

Not sure if I should post this here or somewhere else, but:

I've been a long time fan of iconic shoe/boot styles. Doc Martens, Converse, Vans; Red Wings (I have a pair of Red Wing Gentleman Travelers before they made their heritage line), Wesco (I have a 20 year old custom pair that, to my eternal regret, I had made without straps).

A while back, I made the terrible mistake of getting a pair of wide toe-box shoes from Lems. It's one of the "shaped like a foot" variety of shoes. It turns out that this is wildly more comfortable than other shoe shapes, and now I'm annoyed wearing anything else. The bad part is that the shoes look bad, and don't have any of the appeal in terms of materials or construction that the stuff I've liked for years has.

The question: is there anyone out there making high-quality footwear that has a wider toe box? (Not a wide-width shoe, just shaped in a way that lets your toes spread out.) Does anyone else suffer from this same problem?

Never had any Lems, but I’m basically spoiled for other footwear after buying a few pairs of Altras, which have a very similar toe box. I think we may have to embrace that comfort is more important than looks

I’m pretty sure my wedding ring is gone for good.  Realized it driving home yesterday.  It was a simple titanium band, nothing special but I’m sad it’s gone after all these years. I’ll look at work when I return tomorrow, but in the meantime  ;D…

…how about some suggestions for a replacement!

I’d be lying if my said I’ve never considered this ploy, but sadly the loss is for real and I’m actually upset. However, I’m lot one to look a gift horse in the mouth so I’m thinking a baby ramen, skull crusher, 31 (very wedding bandy), desert sessions spacer ring, or a 25.  My absolute fave is the Steal Your Rosette but I wanted that in my right middle finger.  Thoughts?

I understand the pain of losing your band and if you're going to replace it, make sure Katie is involved…

Desert sessions is a happy medium between cool GAH and something wedding-ish. I’m a fan. It will also combine nicely with the Steal at a later date.

That's cool, I once wanted to change my band and got the raised eyebrow…although about 3 years ago, we redid our bands and she was completely cool with it.

I was working on the farm and took my band off when working around the tractors.  Put it somewhere that I wouldn't lose it and it was gone for about 5 months.  It sucked...jumped in the farm truck one day to drive to the back of one of the fields and found my ring in the ashtray of the truck...I had put it in there the last time I drove the truck to pick up the tractor that I was driving that day.  🙂

I’m sure I had it at the barbershop yesterday.  I fidget with it constantly so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t gone much longer before I noticed.  It was cold yesterday so it could have slipped off easily.  It’s happened before just not without my noticing.

The desert sessions pattern is one I particularly like.  I’m thinking I’d like bigger though.  The 31 is similar to the one I lost but I also think this is an opportunity to bling out so the baby ramen and the 25 are really speaking to me.

I vote baby ramen if you go big. Gotta say, I have a 25, and I do love the way it looks, but the little holes collect all kinds of gross schmutz and it needs cleaning a lot. Also have to take it off to wash your hands for the same reason. Not ideal for a wear all the time piece.
