The BBC! It’s glory is somewhat dimmed, but still a bastion of journalism. The Guardian actually has a weekly column with only good news too, a little something weigh up for war, planet death, capitalism and so on.

Went to a friend‘s birthday party yesterday. Really nice evening - relaxed people, good chats, red wine and some excellent home-made pizza. Nothing special …

Except, he left Jehova’s witnesses two years ago. Was the first time he celebrated his own birthday after more than 30 years. Has build up a nationwide organisation to help other ex-witnesses to get along after leaving.

We told him the party was ‚ok‘, but he could still improve.

Went into Rivet and Hide yesterday around 4pm on the off chance I could get pair of Chinos hemmed and the lovely Junior obliged.  He said he owes his hemming skills to @Giles

Not sure where this belongs, but today’s delivery makes me think that IH isn’t really in the business of selling clothes. Possibly the real business is selling positive feelings, and the clothes (in this case two beautiful shirts) are just a bonus!
