You used Velcro? Huh that's actually pretty cool. As in one side on the hat and the other on the patches? Saves trying to sew that octopus one on. I have that aside as it's tough to sew all around them thar tentacles.

Got some Velcro strips from Walmart and the backs are sticky.  Cut them to fit.  The cap had Velcro already but you could sew one onto a hat that didn’t.

Got a pack of these at Walmart…

Put two of the crunchy sides together (the hat has the soft side already) then set the patch on the sticky side then pressed for a bit…

That left the soft sides available to stick or sew onto any other time items one might want to pimp without commitment.
