Ha… if you enjoy it, it isn’t work, right?

I hope so, like your advise I took the bigger one from Tag 31 . Graham checked the stock for me.
So we will see how they fit .

Anyone have any suggestions on these guys or the herringbone double knee 12oz for a good summer work pant (kitchen work really).  I go through the right knee of every pair of pants I wear to work.  Just wondering if the double knee on the herringbone make them a great deal warmer than these guys, the herringbone strike me as having a tighter less breezy weave than the wabash, but having only seen a wabash shirt in person and never the herringbone, I’d be curious if anybody has any opinions?  Canadian summers can get pretty hot in the kitchen, these wabash looking pretty breezy, but I’d love to try a double knee if they aren’t suffocating.  Thanks to anyone who can add any insight.

I find the herringbone to be pretty breathable, actually. I wear mine outside in 80 degree temps just fine—not much appreciable difference from the wabash.

In a hot kitchen both pants would be thicker/more than I would really want to wear, though.

How tall are you? The one warning I would give is that I am 6’1” and I find that the double knees don’t really cover my knees. Annoyingly, the bottom of the doubling hits right in the middle of my kneecap. Something to also consider.

Hey Cheers for that, I’m only around 5’9”, that being said, usually because of how I kneel my hole usually appears slightly lower than my actual knee.  Thinking the double knee would make it harder to repair, but easier on my actual knee, my floor is concrete and my knees don’t have the cushion they used to.  Thanks for the insight.

I’m in northern Norway and the IH-814-IND are my summer pants. I have a high tolerance for warmth and a low tolerance for shorts though.

I’m sure the herringbone is pretty great but I can attest that IH wabash phenomenally tough.

I was really loving the look of the reloved pair of herringbone loggers in black (I was also really loving the price, sizing and the thought that I would beat up a pair of unused work pants), but I think the fading potential of the wabash in indigo has me won over.
I had a pair of wabash jeans I wore in the kitchen years ago, and they look a lot like some of the fine folks beat up wabash here.  I think these would only benefit from some knee patches and rough wear, I think the colour will hide the inevitable food stain better as well.  Thanks for the kind input, I’m with you exactly, high tolerance to heat and I think I have one pair of shorts I don’t wear.

This would be my concern, but I'm hella hot-natured.

I wear the 14 oz OD for work currently, my kitchen isn’t hot at all, just the area I live can get pretty gross come summer.  For the few weeks in July or August that get above 30 I’ll throw on my Levi’s or Warehouse. These pants sized up one should be great for most days, thanks everyone for the advice!

It only tops 30C here for a week in summer and sometimes not at all. However when it does, and when I travel to southern Spain, I wear the 814’s rolled up to below the knee. My pair are also sized up.

I just got my pants today, I sized up from my normal size.  Fit is nice and loose, should be good to give it the roll up past my ankles on real hot days, but should be a great pair of pants for work and summer.  First thing I did was threw on my Hickory western, really feels like you should be shovelling coal in these two pieces.  Will be great for casual wear but mostly is going to be worn with an apron and a button up dishwasher style short sleeve or just a cheap white t.  The dream pairing is the IHSH-294-WHT, but I would ruin that shirt in one day ; :D.  I was gonna just roll the cuffs, but I think Tokyo style works good with these straight legs, thanks all for the advice.
