@Chris:

Hmmm, I may have to install some of these when Julie is out of town. Then I can try them out one night when I'm out of town and she's at home alone with the kids, for maximum freak out results.

I am pretty sure if you put it on full disco light show mode, you may never see her again…..

I still feel like I’m living in chaos months after the move, but we did put in a custom wine station in this little nook in the dining room. Will be adding storage to hand glasses under the bottom shelf and a marble surface on the service area. Next project will be a wet bar downstairs in a similar, but larger nook. Then a linen closet downstairs in yet another nook.

Think it, be it.

We moved like five months ago and are just now getting around to shots for a “we’ve moved” card for friends and family. I like this shot which my pal sent as a preview as he digs in and works on photos from Sunday.

That is such a lovely shot of you and your family @mclaincausey. Do your dogs have pom pom ponytails or is that just how fluffy their ears are? congrats on the new place, btw  🙂

Thanks @RoxRocks86 !

They are just fluffy and we don't brush them enough. They are bouviers des Flandres but we don't do the traditional grooming and haircuts on them.

Sounds great, Eli! No more neighbor’s dogs messing up your patio, hopefully.

First major snow in the new home. I can’t believe it took so long. Never been so grateful to pick up a shovel!

We’re still waiting on ours but it did get below freezing for the first time this year! 🤗

It’s been a long time since I posted any house pics and wanted to show what we’ve been up to. We struggled for a while to figure out our niche but we’ve bet heavy on mid century pieces, mostly American but some Italian/German and are enjoying it. I’m hoping that in 2022 we sub out the Eames piece for a case by Alias or USM.
Our art with the exception of the vintage posters is all by StL artists.

Front room with art by Peter Manion, WM Lachance, Dr Slime, and Nick Schleicher.

Dining room with pieces from Renee Raub, Val Bertoia, and Alicia Lachance

Our add on family room with vintage Alexander Girard posters and a Claes Oldenburg

Lastly our BR has mostly vintage Danish furniture with a Hans Wegner “Plank Chair”

Anesthetist I love your style.

How do you find the wireframe sofa?  It’s a piece I’ve been considering but haven’t had a chance to test it.  It’s not even in Herman Miller’s flagship store in New York.  The London store has it but I don’t know the next time I’ll make it over there.

Thanks gents! @Bums_Fan @mclaincausey  It’s been a lot of trial and error for sure and will probably continue to be. Up next though will be our upstairs BR and it’s intimidating to think about….

@DrPat We got ours as a sample off of DWR’s ebay and it was really reasonable (albeit not my first choice in upholstry). The sofa is very well made but also low & very stiff. The pillows are nice quality, stuffed with down, and can be moved around to help you get comfortable. I’m not sure why it is so hard to find, but looking at HM’s site shows a very limited amount of options. I am pretty sure I dont see our fabric either so buying a matching ottoman might be difficult. Maybe it is going to be discontinued? Does Chicago have it?

Thanks for the info!  I’m not sure if Chicago has it, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be in that area anytime soon.

I just saw a mouse crossing my patio!.. Good God I hope I have mice!.. Screw you, next tenant!..  😃

Oh I won't have a patio anymore… But my block is on the border of the parc... Shit pic:

We had kind of a dead space by the front door and not great storage for coming and going so Brandi had a great solution we put in over the weekend.
