Aww man, if that the green aluminum bodied one with the purple spacer and axis lock? If so, I really dig that knife, weird in a good way and something I've had my eye on for a while

I finally got my Mikov. It's a lot lighter weight than I had expected. It's a beautiful quality knife. But the spring seems kind of flimsy like it doesn't spring open with authority like my other switchblades do. I will probably remove the spring and wrist flick it open so it is legal to carry. I like my two Due Boui switchblades a lot better. But this one is way prettier.

@Joberwocky That's a solid choice of blade there mate! Mine has never let me down. The ZDP-189 steel is a worthy upgrade indeed. So impressed, I've bought them as gifts for a few choice mates, all of whom rave about them.

Thanks @GC the ZDP is what originally brought me to Spyderco, and aside from having the spring clip screw occasionally loosen up, I was overall super happy with the Dragonfly.

So pleased was I with my Fox Pelican that I picked up another Fox knife recently, this time a more stylish, refined bit of kit. The wooden handle is gorgeous and the blade shape and flipper action superb. Very pleased.

Something Giles said in the inaugural podcast that has stuck with me is that Iron Heart customers tend to like nice, well made things. That idea certainly applies to me and my particular affection for guitars and, in this case, knives. I’ve loved knives since I was a kid and my grandpa would get me a new pocket knife for Christmas every year to add to my collection (usually a little Buck or Schrade folder). Most of my knives have moved on but I have a few from Bob Dozier that I just can’t seem to part with. He makes incredible knives, usually with his legendary D2 steel. Simple designs made with premium materials that just work. Almost forgot to mention his kydex sheaths. I typically like natural material but his sheaths are designed so well and are so practical that I’ve fallen in love with them as well.  Here are some pics of my remaining collection.

Pic of sheath. Horizontal carry is very comfortable when sitting or just bending over in the woods.

For daily carry I rotate mostly between these three Benchmade folders. Osborne 940-2, mini griptilian, combo sheepsfoot with spidey hole and a small summit lake. I may get some custom scales to upgrade the mini grip as the factory ones feel kind of cheap and I carry it the most.

The Anso design element is obvious there. Reminds me of my Giant Mouse.

IMHO, it's very much a Ken Onion inspiration / derivation.
