June’s Red Right Hand. Praise be. If you know, you know.

      I have to catch up.

Don't know about you but S3 (and the ending of it especially) was about the greatest TV ever made. S4 starts of where S3 ended and the first episode is packed with imagery, synchronicity and fable. It bodes well… in as far as watching that show can ever be a just pleasure and not an burning incitement to flip tables, throw chairs and machete every MF with a penis and misplaced conviction about his own importance in the world.

      😃 😃 😶

THE DEUCE  (S02): well I didn't wanna re-watch S01 but I never gave S02 a chance… I read somewhere (I think in a Guardian review) that season 3 is absolutely flawless, so here we go...

I must say: I'm 20' into he first episode and it is UNCANNY how fleshed out everything is... How REAL both characters and locations feel... The rowdy traffic... In a fucking masterclass of its own...

Season 2 is underrated. Season 3 is the tits. The end will make you feel things.

Ha, I just started The Deuce earlier this week, I am 2 episodes in and can see it going somewhere!! Glad to know it does!!

I agree. While S2 takes on too much work in terms of complexity -and loses some of the character building and background building that makes S1 so awesome, s3 brings it all back. It is all together very well concieved and executed and the way it deals with the material and characters is amazing.  Evenhanded and unsentimental while still managing to stay warm in its attitude to all the characters, irrespective of how seedy or scummy they sometimes are.

On another note, I’m two episodes into Mare Of  Easttown and it looks like its going to be a banger.

For those who like documentaries… Adam Curtis made a 6-part, ~470 minutes feature about the powers that were, the powers that be, history of conspiracy theories, and so much more... As you would expect with a Curtis docco...

Made by and aired on BBC but yu can find it on YouTube...

MR INBETWEEN - season 3 has started!.. Three eps have aired and they're all fucking amazing… Bloody oath...

THE HANDMAIDS TALE - season 4 started a good while ago... I didn't particularly enjoy S03 and haven't enjoyed any of the seven eps of the fourth season thus far...

PARTY DOWN - fun stuff... Molly Parker's in ep 1x09 so that's my favourite ep by far...

Mosquito Coast on Apple TV is great! Ted Lasso was good for some laughs and the writing is genius IMO.

TED LASSO S02 has started. First ep was flawless.

ULTRA CITY SMITH… A neo-noir musical with plastic dolls?.. Narrated by Tom Waits?.. Directed by the one and only Chris Conrad (PATRIOT, PERPETUAL GRACE LTD.)? Might be a hard sell for some, but I'm LOVING it...

MR INBETWEEN S03 and its epic series finale (yep: series finale) was amazing start to finish…

LOKI: mediocre... Gonna watch the finale tonight...

RICK & MORTY S05 is about halfway and has given us some excellent eps (especially the leaked episode 7)...

SWEET TOOTH... Heard weird things so I'm starting it asap!..

Sweet Tooth has been pretty cool after only a few episodes.  I’ve been enjoying Lovecraft Country on HBO.

Rick & Morty has been strange. Episode 2 I thought was one of the best ones yet, and episode 4 the worst in the series by a long shot (though I did love the gag with a sated, "bad boy" Morty on the roof).

I'll have to wait for the wife to return home for Ted Lasso, but we both really loved S1.

I've been watching Alone, and I really really love it.

                                  Think it, be it.

Just finished the entirety of Boardwalk Empire……wasn’t worth it.

Also I recently rewatched Generation Kill and still say that it’s the best “mini” series ever made.

So, this is not a new series, but "The Night Manager", with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston is excellent! It's a modernized adaptation of a John Le Carre novel. Hiddleston plays a veteran, hotel night manager, and eventually spy / good guy. Hugh Laurie is the antagonist and plays an utterly charming and ruthless international arms dealers. It's like a 6hrs James Bond movie with all the corny aspects removed. It's awesome.
