Our latest addition. After we experienced the major freeze in February, we lost a lot of vegetation and were way more exposed than we liked. We live on a busy urban street and decided that a board formed concrete wall would be the ideal solution. Once steel prices ease up a bit, we'll finish adding tying in a combination of perforated and steel plate on either end of the wall.

That's a good looking fence, Clint. I like it. Something like that would work stylistically with our house, but I expect the cost would be prohibitive, given how long our lot is.
By the way, this is a weird coincidence- I was over at Blue Owl Brewing on Sunday and wondered how your home renovations were going…

Thanks @Chris! My wife had brought up that she wanted a board form concrete wall and I figured that it would be ludicrously expensive. Fortunately for us, we have a really good relationship with the owner of a concrete company so he did it for us at a little over cost so we jumped on it.
You might have passed right by my house depending on which route you took home! We wrapped up on our garage apartment about 6 months ago and have been doing pretty well with it as a short term rental. Here are a few pics of the finished project:

Working from home has made my partner and I consider upsizing and viewings have started. Not sure if it is a good time to move but it would be fun to have outside space.

Yeah, a laundry sink is a must for me, and the swap from a clunky utility sink to the deep bar sink really gave us a ton more counter space which will inevitably just be used sweaty hats and dirty kids clothes haha [emoji23]

We are selling this, my first purchased home. We did a lot to it and have ridden the real estate wave hopefully well; a difficult market that would have been even moreso as a first time buyer. We love, but outgrew, this home. Bittersweet to move on from it and its location.
We found a home that gives us nearly twice the space in an area we prefer. Better set up for the family across the board. I’m grateful that we were able to find a place that will support our larger family without making sacrifices we’re uncomfortable with. Excited to have two garages (we’re not even using the current minute garage for car, and it hails here a lot), fenced front and back, open floor plan, breakfast nook, and a finished basement that will include a bar, A/V, fitness, and bedrooms.
