Looks gnarly @RoxRocks86, it's certainly not good you got burned but thankfully it wasn't to direct skin. I wish you a speedy healing process!
-
In today’s reckless news I ironed myself right in the gut.
Could you BE anymore badass?

Damn–-Thats going to be tender for awhile. Keep applying that Aloe

Reuben’s right. Everyone else removes their clothes and irons them or irons them before they put them on. Rox has taken Ironheart to a whole new level!
@RoxRocks86 Hope you’re doing better today.

No blistering. It's just surface burn, tho that split second hurt like a mutha & the hr after. Thank god for beer & pizza to make things better.
It is amazing what that combo can do for all sorts of pain. That's what is on the menu at my house tonight…hope you heal quickly @RoxRocks86 that looks like it sucks.

@RoxRocks86 ouch! Did it look gnarly today? Every time I burn myself, I'm like "eh that looks fine," then the next day it's more "oh damn that's some Freddy Krueger shit."
(but of course it eventually stops looking horrible and heals)

@Steffen yeah I’d rather not look like i messed with the yakuza

-
Lol! Crucial Eddie cameo
Doesn’t look too bad, though — glad you’re on the mend!

Attempting to quit smoking, I feel like a ticking time bomb. This is day one
-
I never was able to quit smoking. I just switched to vaping and now I cant stand cigarettes. You can do it @el caminos.
-
You can do it! Just remember that quitting smoking is hard - very hard - so be nice to yourself. If you fail, no biggie. Don’t beat yourself up - just pick up and try again! It’ll click one way or another.
Also remember that nicotine is a stimulant. There’s this false belief that smoking a cig will ease your mind / anxiety, but it often does just the opposite. It takes a while to get over the horrible feelings of withdrawal, but it gets so much better as you get some time under your belt. Plus take some time to enjoy things tasting better and smelling better now that you don’t smoke. Go on a walk and enjoy the air.
Lastly, not sure if you drink, but maybe taking a little break from that could help, too. For me, those things go together like pie and ice cream. Anyway, you got this!

Good luck with quitting! Nicotine patches and a lung-centric pandemic was what got me to quit, and am really enjoying the benefits, most of all more money, aside from of course the long term health.
