@hilly So my advice would certainly be to give them a soak in fairly hot water and agitate them while they soak to get the water moving around and into the fibres. They will shrink by around an inch in length and probably a little less in the waist. The width of the leg will tighten slightly and the rise shorten a little. Those areas put under pressure will stretch back out again with wear.

That is one af the many great things about XHS. The dark bits stay super dark, the white bits go very white, and you get to enjoy everything in-between too.
