They are very different. UHR stands for Ultra Heavy Raw.

It is loomstate, so no post weave processing, a lighter indigo, fades very quickly, and will shrink quite a lot. Must be soaked and washed before wearing. It is also a very tight weave.

I was wearing my IH-888-UHR yesterday in fact:

                      To my mind, pretty slubby…

That slubby denim looks killer. I was thinking it was going to be more like the old 18oz raw but that's def slubbier.

Those UHRs look killer @neph93 ! So I've only seen the tonal arcuates on 555s — do all the UHRs have them? I'm a big fan of that look.

Good question. You’d have to trawl through the relevant threads for a definitive answer, but if memory serves there was a version of the IH-888-UHR that has yellow arcs. I don’t have my IHxB-01-UHR to hand but I believe they have tonal arcs. So maybe no, not all, but most?

Is there going to be an 888 UHR this time around? I’ve been really wanting to get into some 888XHS but I’ve never experienced the UHR and I’m thinking about waiting for it…
                                        been missing that cozy XHS!
