      The Queens Gambit was amazing. I had reservations due to the Chess theme, but it paced so perfectly as to not drag on about chess and have the viewer lose interest. Brilliant brilliant writing and acting.

        @Streetwise Hercules my wifes favorite show of all time, though she called season 1 "pirate porn" cause there was hardly any clothes worn.

        If it got picked up by Netflix it would explode like Schitt's Creek did recently. It's brilliant acting and writing, gory and hilarious, devastating and action packed.

        @Streetwise:

        Anyone watched Black Sails?

        I couldn’t stand a few of the characters from the word go, but I’m totally hooked and into series 3.

          Screw you guys: THE MANDALORIAN is still massive fun…

          I like it, too. I know a lot of folks complain about the pacing and lack of overarching storyline, but I enjoy the kinda slow moving, low stakes vibe.

            I think the Mandalorian is the best Star Wars content since the original trilogy. Rogue one is good too but the bounty hunter/wild west element just pushes it over the top for me.

            Checked out the first couple episodes of The Undoing. I dig it. Love a good murder mystery.

            Glad there's so much TV available in the Covid era. Sometimes we all just need to escape reality for a few hours.

                              @Seul Agreed Godless was great. It was shot in such a high definition that it seemed hyper realistic.

                              We are just starting The Expanse on Amazon Prime. neither my wife or I are really into Sci-Fi, but it has such great reviews we decided to give it a shot.

                                THE EXPANSE is great but there's a difference between S01 and 02… So stick with it, is what I'd advise...

                                  It takes a couple of episodes to lay all the groundwork, but it steadily develops speed and tension.  I was hooked by ep. 5 or so- Close Quarters Battle, I think it was called.  Some of the idiosyncrasies got toned down after the first season, like the Belter patois. I think trying to decipher it was off-putting for a lot of people.  I kinda miss it.

                                  Regardless, it's a fantastic show.

                                      I know I’m kind of late to the party but,finished Queens Gambit last night. Thought it ranked up there with the best TV I’ve ever seen,from the writing to the acting,to the casting everything about it. I know zero about chess,but was riveted. Didn’t want it to end.

                                          I've been watching a lot of Superstore lately.  It's a fun, lightweight show that occasionally manages to sneak in some interesting societal observations.
