damn. those look lovely. i wonder what's the idea behind the arc for sandals?

I think it is to fit the sole of the foot better than being totally flat.  Goto took a load of Paula's measurements, but I'm not entirely sure he measured the sole of her foot….

The arc generate some tension/pressure and will prevent the sandals to slip off when lifting your feet…
