It's used for lots of things, but I use it for deploying a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB)

From Friday to Monday moved the family from Denver to Costa Mesa (Orange County) CA by way of Moab, Zion, and Joshua Tree. On to Redondo Beach for the next month this Friday.

My wife and I hiked the Dipsea trail yesterday Dow to Stinson Beach just outside San Francisco. It was a pretty grueling 7.5 mile hike up and over Mt. Tam.
