Those tile are sweet. I know they were talked about but I never noticed the undulations.

Where to eat in London? We'll be 4 adults + 3 kids. Some of us need non pork / ofall options. We're open to semi fancy (but kid friendly). Definitely want at least 1 fish & chips and 1 delicious Indian place. We'll be there from Dec 26th (Boxing day?) to the 29th… We're staying in Notting Hill. We'll move around for the right spot, but reasonably central is best. Thank you!

I can't speak to the ease of finding tables for 7 or how child-friendly these are as neither are my expertise, but I have eaten at all these places.

Anywhere within reason, try to avoid the ones that look like restaurants. You want a take out that you eat from the paper on a park bench type of place.Fusion

One of my simplest pleasures which I have had any time in Paris is a Tarte Fine at Le Castiglione, Corner of Rue Saint-Honore' and Rue Castiglione. It's simply a Sweet French Pastry, thin sliced apples, brown sugar, broiled and served with vanilla ice cream.

Looks great Sam!

It is, I went there twice, once for dinner and then again for another Tarte Fine

Found a break izakaya last night. Great food and service and excellent sake list.

Mine too… already booked a table for tonight at our local sushi restaurant

The Masumi "Mansion of Dreams" is my favorite I've ever had. Also enjoyed the Otokayama Hiyaoroshi quite a bit. Natural yeast is involved there, giving it a barnyard character.
Intended to call the place, Fukumoto, a "great" (not "break") izakaya. Recommend it for any traveling to Austin. I believe all of their fish are from Tsukiji.

Have you tried an unfiltered sake? Very interesting stuff… we had a Daiginjo too today.

One day I will ask you to take me with you.

I do like some unfiltered ones! I tend in all things to prefer dry to sweet but there have been notable exceptions with unfiltered sake.
