I’ve been having to sell something in order to buy something lately. The crazy flannel sale in the buying/selling thread a few weeks ago had me like ???. Should have come away with three or four of them, but only took one because I wasn’t willing to let go of anything. It’s been a good way to figure what is really “essential wear”

The thing with IH gear in my experience is that I've never had a piece that I wanted to sell. Even if it was the wrong size a part of me thinks I should keep it. Ridiculous, but a result of each item being a lovely thing in and of itself. So after building a collection of more items than I can effectively use, selling stuff is still a difficult thing. My collection doesn't grow anymore. I sell at least as much as I buy, and slowly it is shrinking, but I feel like I'm closing my eyes and working on autopilot when I put items up for sale.

I can name all of them. It is a traumatic experience, especially for fit reasons, and then you can’t find a replacement cause they sold out, blah blah. Traumatic and tragic. It would actually be worthy of a tattoo, the memory is never going away. 04, 16red, 17, 26, 34, 43, 45, 51, 73, 92…and on and on

The sizing on this didn’t work for me, but the 86 worked and is similar so it doesn’t hurt as much!
