Can anyone comment on whether  ibergs or Lofgren have a lower heel?

If I were to guess based on owning JL and seeing pictures of Viberg, I'd say the JL Cuban heel probably is taller. It doesn't feel super tall though to me when worn. Very comfortable boots if you can get your foot through the shaft in your size. @Bfd70

          Think it, be it.

Thanks fellas. Tough to figure when you can’t try on in person. Since they seem to be a push in height, @chap can you comment on which has more room in the toe box?

I would say the JL. The Viberg has an unstructured toe box.

depends on the last… Viberg‘s 2005 provides more room than the 2030...
The 2030 ist narrow in the forefoot area, the 2005 is wider. If you have rather wide feet, go for a 2005 engineer from Viberg or the Lofgren. Viberg engineers are available in both lasts...
I‘d suppose there‘s not much difference between Lofgren and Viberg‘s 2005...

What you should also consider with engineers is heel shape. Viberg provides one of the best heel „pockets“ thus reducing possible heel slippage to a minimum.

Would love to have a Viberg heel in my engineers...

                    Thanks @champ and @jay-cy
The lack of adjustability via laces makes this a bit of a pita.

What do you guys think would work best for a torn/stretched strap hole? The leather is cxl on my Lofgrens…a rather sad thin cxl strap I'm afraid. Using another hole isn't an option. The tear appears stabilized for the most part. Super glue, shoe goo, etc.? This has proven a little tricky for an adhesive as is does need to be flexible unlike a resin/epoxy I'd like to use. Thanks for reading!

Just a thought.  Have a piece of leather sewn to your strap on the underside of the area, which would reinforce the entire strap.  Put a new hole in and you should be good to go.

Thanks man. Yeah thought that may be ideal even using an adhesive simply gluing a reinforcement strap. It's actually tough sourcing a really thin strap that would work with the existing strap and the buckle. Pretty confident a little adhesive/reinforcement would suffice.
