After seeing an IG post of a pair of Alden Indy's Brian has re-soled recently I just sent off my pair to him for a re-sole
      IG post:

Im looking for the same result…quoted time is 4-5 weeks ( less than I expected) and the cost is only $40 more than what Alden would charge for their in house re-sole.

        Thanks! wakka wakka wakka!

Great shoes …Im so jonzing for a pair of his engineers

Thanks! I would be too but I have brown Road Champs with a Takeshi triple leather sole and black Lofgrens so I can't justify it. If he had been around earlier I would have em… Also love his Underdogs.

        Think it, be it.

Hey @Matty123, yes I would consider the Role Club half sole to be pretty slip resistant, at least for “normal” use. It’s a hard rubber but after a few wears they scuff up and footing seems pretty secure.

This is how they look today, with a pretty solid amount of wear..

Yep. One of the reasons I hardly wear my indys…they’re like skis. Is Brian the Bootmaker the only person out there that can do a resole?

I don’t think resoling stitch down boots is a standard skill for cobblers or shoe makers anymore, but there are still many specialists who can do it.

Yeah, it's not something that some dude at the mall will do, but there are lots of decent repair shops that will be able to do a reasonable quality resole.  Call around and ask and you should be able to find a local shop.

If I do a re-sole i'll probably go with Brian, or Alden. I'd eventually like to get a lug sole or commando sole so that my boots have some sort of grip.

Yeah that’s why I was wondering  about Brian’s branded soles. I’m doing a resole in the next few months. Def commando or something non slip

I am on the horns of a dilemma. Do I pay full buck for a hand crafted pair of Engineer Boots from Brian or accept a cheaper pair from elsewhere which will be great but not as great. Thoughts?
