    I think the 888 is perfect as it is!

      888 rear rise should stay the same!

      To me, with a drop in the front rise! If the whole thing was canted forward the diaper butt wouldn’t be an issue. My 463s are perfection in the top block. If they were only a tapered cut…

      Btw, that unwashed type III looks noice!

          @Alex:

          No one said we would change the 888 [emoji6]

          That would be the best option for me. No issues with diaper butt thanks to my Dad’s genes and the rise is fine. If you had to fiddle you could drop i a little was my point. Excited to see what may happen to the 1955…

            Given that the 1955 is modeled after the Levis Jean of that year, if you tamper with the cut, wouldn't you have to rename it the 1955ish  😃

            +1 for the one inch rear rise reduction on the 888. Perfect fit for me otherwise. Nice leg hem to wear with boots, but not too big for me like the 634 can be (for my waist size).

                What does BB mean in this context?

                      I would've figured black/blue.  So is black/black different from solid black?

                        If you mean is the 14oz black/black different from super black (which is reactive dyed warp and weft)?  Then yes it is different:

                            Also different from a black/white (black warp/white weft) fabric like the 21oz black/white fabric that's been discontinued…I think?  Which is unfortunate because I really liked that fabric.

                                Giles & I were discussing the relative similarity of the 888 and 1955 cut and how we may be better to tweak one of them to give a slightly more marked difference..

                                The 1955S is my all time favorite cut, and the 888 is a close second. Wearing them except for the higher rise, I really don't notice similarities. I hope the don't get tweaked too much. Each cut looks different on me, and both are great fitting. Just my thought.

                                  So are gonna see that incredible deer skin roughout western that H was wearing at the 10 year anniversary on this thread soon?

                                  You won’t be satisfied until you wear Iron Heart.

                                        We are working on getting the suede.  Once we manage that, all it easy (but expensive)…

                                          There are still several tanneries in Austria making „Saemischleder“ of deer and roe hides. If you need addresses let me know.
