Cheers!  Yeah…  Spoke with my local Union-Special-owning denim store over the phone after dropping 'em off for hemming, and they were all, "Sorry... We don't have any gold-and-black thread to match the rest."

And I'm all, "Oh, no...  It's just regular kinda jeans thread, but overdyed black.  In a year it'll all just be yellow anyways.  You can just use yellow thread."

"So, just kind of a regular yellow jeans thread, then?"

"Yeah.  You can look up a pair of 634S on the Iron Heart website.  That's the colour it should be."

Pick up the jeans, and they went with orange.  Go figure.  But yeah... I like it, too!

Hi these are my pair, worn on and off for 5 years. a few hand repairs, no honeycombs but a great pair of jeans that are still going strong. no special treatment my wife just throws them in the machine with other clothes

how do you get the honeycombs so sharp? i wore mine everyday for 10 months with no wash and hardly got a mark there, must be to do with body shapes

I think cut against body shape plays a role, but it is mostly what you do in your day to day. Lots of bending down, kneeling and squatting makes for epic 'combs. So does cycling. If you're mostly standing or sitting then not so much.

Some poor guy got roasted on here a while back for bringing up a smell of metal and pee connected to OD. I’ve had a load of OD and never noticed it.

What do you smell?

Its hard to describe… it may be indigo? Its not a bad smell, just odd maybe a bit like metal def not pee though lol

I wore them for 6 months before washing them so the smell obviously isn't that bad. I guess I was just wondering if i was the only one who noticed an odd scent. These are also the only IH denim i own maybe it is all the same

There are some heavy duty chemicals at play here. Sulphur dyed stuff stinks for a while. If it is dye related it will pass with time and washes.

I’ve only heard smell complaints with regards to OD, but as I said never had a problem. It smells different for sure, but not so it bothers me.
