Hi these are my pair, worn on and off for 5 years. a few hand repairs, no honeycombs
but a great pair of jeans that are still going strong. no special treatment my wife just throws them in the machine with other clothes

2 months of somewhat regular wear. No water.
how do you get the honeycombs so sharp? i wore mine everyday for 10 months with no wash and hardly got a mark there, must be to do with body shapes

I think cut against body shape plays a role, but it is mostly what you do in your day to day. Lots of bending down, kneeling and squatting makes for epic 'combs. So does cycling. If you're mostly standing or sitting then not so much.

Does the smell in these ever go away? I guessin that it is probably from the overdying process.

Don't remember mine ever smelling. They certainly don't now

Its hard to describe… it may be indigo? Its not a bad smell, just odd maybe a bit like metal def not pee though lol

I wore them for 6 months before washing them so the smell obviously isn't that bad. I guess I was just wondering if i was the only one who noticed an odd scent. These are also the only IH denim i own maybe it is all the same

Yeah for sure not a big deal at all. I was just curious… In hindsight it was kind of a useless post.

They are coming along nicely. I might try to sell and size up one or two for a looser fit.
