+ THE VEROCIOUS AND VORACIOUS VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN PONCE THREAD +

Feta, red onion, grilled pinenuts, rucola (rocket) salad on small round Turkish breads.
I can not seem to make a decent burger for the life of me…
Well, not if you're going to put pine nuts on it. Silly Belgirian.

@Seul my wife has a great recipe for a black bean based patte (don't pander to the omnivores by calling them burgers! Even though burger, as with sausage is merely a descriptor of the shape of the product, not indicative of it's ingredients).
We are having them tonight I think. I'll take some pics if we do.

We watched 'The game changer' on Netflix the other night and fancy giving some of these 'meats' a go.

@bryaneidins70 What were your thoughts on it? There was a split opinion in the office!

It has had quite an effect on my student group. Norway is not a particularly veggie friendly country and dropping meat for ethics, the envirnoment or for health doesn't have the same status amongst young people as it does in the rest of Europe. However a lot of the kids are talking about it and going veggie after the documentary.

We enjoyed it @AdamJ but I was a bit put off when I saw that Arnie, Jackie Chan, and James Cameron were behind it.
but i'm going to give it a go as I want to be able to wrestle a gun or knife out of someones hand :D.

My scepticism derives mostly from the fact James Cameron is involved quite heavily in the plant based protein industry. I just think it's quite dangerous to make claims based on very targeted and generalised evidence.
That being said I do wholeheartedly agree meat production is fucking the environment so what do I know ::)
