New knife for my bunker pants pocket. My old Byrd rescue folder wasn't locking up properly anymore, which was a fine excuse to upgrade to a Spyderco Jumpmaster  🙂

I have one by Gerstner but it’s pretty full. The HF one looks pretty nice, how’s the quality? Good buys all around.

        it's alright
its definitely no gerstner. its good enough for the 79.99 price tag. the hardwares kinda cheesey. but the wood its self seems okay. it's not pressed partical board or anything so thats nice.
i looked around for vintage ones, but they were all 350 or more and all needed relining. this was a short drive to the states for me which i had to make anyways
        i'd recommend it

don't you know there ain't no devil? only god when he's drunk!

Right on, thanks for getting back to me. I might have to make a run to my local shop and check them out

I would never, EVER get rid of me Sebby, but fuck me: Spyderco can seriously make a fun and practical bit of kit!.. It's just easier to use in my line of work... Love it to bits... DougNg: two out of two. Owe you one!..

It’s absolutely fantastic. Quality is second to none and no concerns about it closing accidentally on my fingers. Definitely worth the cost old chap.

They look wonderful but what am I looking at? Are they basically chopsticks perfected and styled for use by our robot overlords?

So I was right, Cylon chopsticks. I love them.

I have some basic stainless steel chopsticks and while they don't have as much grip as bamboo, they're not slick at all.  And they're way better than the restaurant grade plastic ones I have.

I'm curious how much lighter titanium ones are than steel- mine are pretty light.

My main gripe with metal chopsticks is the heat conductivity if you use them to cook.

My second gripe is the way they feel against my teeth when I accidentally bite on them. I favor plastic or disposable wood myself

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

Hey all.  Can anyone tell me if I’ve got real cf here or peel ply?  The 52100 Para 3 was advertised as peel ply but the cross section and the interior seem to suggest otherwise.  Real cf and 52100 for $150 seems like a steal to me.  Thoughts?

I figured it out.  The texture is peel ply over solid cf, unlike the cf peel ply over G-10.  Mystery solved.
