^What this man said. I'm curious too.

In related news, in my private correspondence with them they said they measured the tag size 32-33 pairs in order to find a pair with the biggest thigh, but somehow the results are exactly as in the chart on their site; contrast this with Filthy's experience (12.5" in the chart, 13.1" measured) and I don't know what to think. 😞 I want a pair sort of badly but logically thinking, I shouldn't take the risk considering their no returns policy and the fact that after shipping + tax, it could potentially turn out to be a $700+ pair of jeans I could look at but not wear.

Yep, too risky and a very expensive mistake to make if sizing didn't pan out, or if a button popped off like @Filthy

      IHSH-129 size L (blue)

@Crit_Obs my advice is they probably aren't worth it. And to wait for Nobrandeon or Cheese denim to make another 32 oz run. Cheese is a bespoke denim brand… they can make you whatever.

They are definitely using a different method to measure than we are familiar with, if they’re actually measuring at all.

I found their denims stretch  a lot . I'm normally a 33 inch waist in IH and most Japanese brands . However on N&F ones I was a 31 . True to their word , the fudging denims stretched to a 33 or more . Luckily I had a shop that stocks many denim brands N&F being one of them , for a try on first . They carry IH stuff now too .

Found the APC denims to be a similar situation years ago too.

            Mirthing my way through life.

I still haven't heard anything about my jeans other than they are looking to see if they can find a replacement button. Not real impressed with the customer service or communication from the store or NF.

I was going to make joke about how it's probably because of the metric system, or the exchange rate, or because they're French Canadian, but I couldn't come up with anything.  So I'll just say that sucks, and that I wish your experience has been better.

That's poor form and especially so considering it's a $545 pair of jeans. ::) Hope they a) get it fixed and b) compensate you accordingly.

They should just send you a new pair, if another of your size exists, in exchange. None of this time wasting over fixing the button. For such a high dollar item, I’m disturbed that their response isn’t more proactive.

I'd have to agree with sabergirl, here. For my money, they'd have to give an even exchange, or full refund.

As a matter of principle, I don't accept defective goods, unless I am informed prior. I'm of the opinion, if a company believes consumers are willing to accept flaws like this and the "fix" they are offering, it affords them the luxury of lesser quality control. That is a luxury I'm NOT willing to afford them.

So yesterday I finally got an email from T+Y about the new button coming from Japan. I asked for a brand new pair and they agreed. I am thankful they finally agreed to give me a new pair. I try to be as laid back and humble as I can possibly be but it is crazy to me that it has been so long.

I also found it odd that the store is handling the repair and they sent it to a seamstress to be taken care of. But I am glad to have a new pair on the way. If the denim wasn't so cool I would have charged the purchase back. I am definitely spoiled from dealing with Iron Heart.

Great news, @Filthy . It's the best request you could've made. With any luck, the replacement won't cause you so much inconvenience.

Now to hope the new pair’s measurements are more like the first pair’s rather than those in their chart. 😶

I got the new 32 oz jeans and they fit… all of the sewing irregularities are absent on this pair too. I will post pre-soak measurements tomorrow. 👍

                                    Size 38

                                    Waist 18.9
                                    Thigh 13.2
                                    Knee 10.75
                                    FR 12.25
                                    BR 16.5
                                    Inseam 32

So this pair is slightly larger than the last pair…

Idk if I will get time to soak these any time soon. Really enjoying my 888XHSib and I don't want to get distracted by these. Plus these aren't summer jeans. So maybe I will revisit them at the end of the summer?

That's good to hear and it was probably worth the hassle for this denim, as it's likely to sell out again… At least for a guy like you who can really appreciate the material for qualities other than "OMG so heavy lol".

They sure are heavy. I might sound like a bitch but I am no longer interested in their 40 oz denim…. maybe made into a backpack or something but not anything to wear.

I put these on again just for shits and giggles. They are very uncomfortable.
