Eli sorry to hear about your dad. Hope the new treatment works.
Enjoy the walk with your mom. Cancer Sucks -
I have the same accursed thing happening in my family, Eli. Godspeed and FC.

Yep - as I figured, almost all of you have had this happen to familymembers… I barely knew my grandmother on my dad's side as she died of breastcancer age 52... My mum's sis (my aunt) recovered from breast cancer just recently... So anyway: I honestly hope all your folk will be ok!.. My dad won't be, though... It's the 4th most lethal cancer, and the only possible way to beat it is after an operation... But the tumour wasn't operable and has been growing since (even during chemo) so it's just a matter of time... And with pancreatic cancer, time is definitely not on your side...
I've been very privileged in that neither of my parents or close family or friends ever got sick, or died... So my dad delivering the news to me... I was the first one he told... Well... It's honestly like experiencing a surreal nightmare you can't wake up from... It was like that for a month... It's not gotten any easier, though... I can tell he's getting worse quickly, and I think the next round of chemo will just make things worse...
C'est la vie... I'm gonna have a drink now...

I am sorry to hear that Seul. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

So do I.
I lost my mother to cancer (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) about five years ago. She fought it for six or seven years before that, and dealing with that is tough, so you have my sympathy @Seul.
Fingers crossed he makes a recovery.
My brother was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma when he was 12. My sympathy goes out to anyone and everyone who has and/or is dealing with this.
My thoughts are with you @Seul.

I'll add to the fuck cancer rant. Recently had an employee of mine inform me of their diagnosis. Stage 4. 1-2 years max.
Employee is married with two young children. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Hopefully the only time in my life I have to have that piece of news delivered to me.

I'm sorry, Eli. Fuck cancer.

Got my LOD jacket. No stickers or blue bag. Maybe this has been new policy. But first I've encountered this.
