Had this tonight with Sushi. The beer itself was kind of nondescript,but good enough to wash down sushi. My son got it for me when he was at a Japanese Market.

This is from a small local brewery. It’s an Imperial Porter with cocoa and aged on Ugandan coffee beans. Crazy good/delicious.

Tried the Cognac BA’ed Eclipse on the weekend after the somewhat surprising success of the Calvados version. One thing I hadn’t remembered was that both versions have been in the bottle since 2016 and on the shelf at the shop for over a year.

This one was also lovely too. More rounded and luxurious than the calvados edition, but less interesting tastewise.

I hate them, too.  If you warm up the wax with your hand it prevents it from shattering and getting all in your beer.  Sometimes.

Just spotted some Aslin beers in one of my regular online stores… Nice... They're selling DREAMS, NEUTRINO and SKATEBOARDING IS NOT A CRIME. I'd get some cans of DREAMS but I just placed an order yesterday

It’s not for everyone. And I can’t really say that the ones I’ve tried even tasted as advertised. However, I still enjoy them. The fluff buddy marshmallow double ipa I drank last week was surprisingly good. It didn’t use lactose, which is in most dessert beers, so it was a nice change. But it was still an ipa with a hint of sweetness. Same with the Coconut Killer ipa, didn’t taste any coconut but it was very smooth. there’s a gazillion choices for beer and I’m gonna reach for stuff that looks off the wall and interesting.
