Not to interrupt the real threads going on here. I have this thing about the WWII Lockheed P-38 Lightening, which I think is about the coolest plane ever designed.  I found this photo of P-38 pilots wearing a khaki that would be so so cool in an IH fabric.  If I could have khakis cut like this in IH, just whoa.  It's not the replica thing or nostalgia thing, it's the cut I like, just sayin'.

@neph93 I was saying that randomly,  in a non-sequitur type of way; however, now that you say it, I've never heard of a work jacket. Is that something like carhartt would make? I always picture chore coats as something similar with pockets near the waist.

And I could be wrong, but I think every chore coat IH has made ended up on clearance.  I suspect that they're not eager to do another.

Got it. Love chore coats but that makes sense. It seems all my favorite iron heart products aren't that popular overall. Love my type 1 & 2 but those don't seem as popular. C'est la vie.

Weren’t all the chore coats unlined ones?

A blanket lined duck chore coat would be pretty awesome. With a cord collar.

All a alpaca lined one with the same collar

                    There was a 21oz denim blanket lined one. The IH-531 I think…

EDIT: Forget it, I was thinking of the IH-528 and/or the IH-534, both of which are 21oz and blanket lined, neither of which are chore coats...

I love the sound of this. With the liner, and cord collar, it may qualify more as a barn coat, though. Which, I would be all-in for.

I think that if IH did a more simplistic take on a chore coat that it might have a better chance of selling than the IHJ-33.  The IHJ-33 is not appealing to my eye with the pocket design, fabric used, and contrast stitching.  I picture a more simple design in a different fabric and tonal stitching, like a Ben Davis inspired one for example.

Nice. Although I’d go for this in the same heavy fabric as the IHTB’s and IHT-1600’s.

right on - make 2 versions, a heavy weight and extra-heavy weight.

I agree. The IHJ-33 was somehow just not appealing. The simplicity of the model posted is very clean and streamed lined, keeping w/ the overall IH aesthetic. An over-engineered IH fabric, improved cut and amazing details would make this a winner in my book.

I agree 100% with your take on the tweaks IH could do with that Ben Davis chore coat design to make it a winner.  Put the IH touches on it.  Obviously tweaking the fit would be one of them as the sleeves are definitely on the long side on the Ben Davis version for one but I was just posting it as an example.  Ben Davis products are notoriously oversized from what I can recall.
