@Filthy that's some awesome Brit blues rock right there. I don't have that album, but do a couple of others. Check out these bands if you don't already know them…Warhorse (the 70s one), Sir Lord Baltimore, and Leafhound. All are very good. I think you'll dig them.

I have a love/hate relationship with James Lavelle. I respect what he did with Mowax back in the day, but I question why he tries to stay relevant. Never quite understood his contribution with UNKLE either. From what I can tell he always hired other producers to make the music (DJ Shadow, Rich File, etc) but it’s his project

@mclaincausey that Ultra mags l.p. was a game changer. I remember buying it in 88 from a small record shop in my town. Roughly the same time as Tuff Crew dropped their l.p..

I was in Bergen in western Norway on a bender about ten years ago. The girl I was with (who may have been slightly younger than me) said “You’re old, do you know who the Buzzcocks are? They’re playing in town tonight”. Random af. It was a great night.
@Stuart.T I haven’t but it is on the list. They were all a bit loony I think.

A band I was in used to rehearse at Back Street Studios in Holloway, North London. Once in a while, for reasons that remain unknown to me, the Buzzcocks would hire one of the rehearsal studios to practice. Every ot he band rehearsing would just stand in the corridor and listen. That was the late 1990s. They were really sweet guys.
The Sex Pistols and the Clash get all the mainstream credit, but Buzzcocks and Stiff Little Fingers have inspired a fleet of bands.

If you are going to shamelessly ripoff other bands do it well, and they do it well! I truly expected them to be Japanese!

So HMV has been bought out by a Canadian record label. They hope to focus more on vinyl…yes!..
They have immediately closed 27 stores including 3 of my more local stores...bollocks.I have a couple of Indies a short drive away, but please, businesses stop driving EVERYTHING online!!! Music is the food of the soul for me, and online is just a music fast food joint, and a good music store is fine dining. I don't want fries with everything!!
