Wool IHM-15 makes a lot of sense. It sounds like a major piece of kit… On the other hand, alpaca is a big part of the charm of the -15.

Definitely is, and unmodified, it works.

But, even with my navy IHM-09 I get alpaca fuzz on the exterior of the coat all the time, and it's annoying, lol! It's to the point that I bought multiple lint rollers; one in my closet, one in the car, and one at my work desk.

Just finished some google searching, and there aren't many examples of wool coats with fur, and I would assume it's for the reason I stated.

        In search of:
        IHV-04, med.
        IHSH-185, large
        IHSH-186, large (khaki, and green)

I'm not the biggest fan of wool, for what it's worth.  SBG denim or whipcord or black duck with primaloft or alpaca lining, for me.

            .

This surprises me.  I've never seen so much as a hint of alpaca shedding from my RMC deck jacket, so there must be a way to secure the pile.

I'm reading that people want a classic fabric with technical characteristics. Perhaps a whipcord made of Epic or a similar weather-resistant cotton would be a good compromise with an alpaca liner?

            Think it, be it.

I’ve never noticed any shedding from my deck jacket either.

I don't want to get in to a pissing match of right vs wrong, because you guys could very well have a different experience than I have with your garments.

To make sure I'm not crazy, I checked last night and sure enough, just rubbing the lining on my IHM-09 and IHV-22 results in shedding. I would have taken pictures, but there's just no way to prove that I didn't forcefully "pluck" the alpaca in order to make a point.

All this talk about wool and liners had me thinking of this…

                    Wool plaid flannel work shirt
                    quilt lined ( like 105 )
                    flap pockets
block / buffalo / classic / ombre check. Take your pick.

                    Example...

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I'd pick that up!  Would prefer some light colors mixed in there so that it's not so dark.

I would definitely buy a 21 oz white denim type 3 if it ever went into production. @Giles has a white denim jacket ever been considered?

There was an ivory type III sampled a couple of years ago. Same material as the IH-666-PQ I believe. It never happened though [emoji20]

Since my baja pullover idea went over like a lead balloon, how about an Ultra Heavy Flannel cpo lined with the same padding as the IHV-32 vest? The face on the new vest is fantastic. It feels rough for about a day the is gets reallly soft. I can tell that my new vest is gonna become my old friend. The face of the new vest would be the inside of the liner.

Back in the early 90s I had a sherpa lined Woolrich jacket that i loved. It got stolen from my locker in High School. I think maybe this is why I love the new green block check so very much… it reminds me of that Woolrich coat. The coat belonged to my Grandfater and was green and white plaid. The check looked similar.

I hope you will consider it Giles. The UHF is awesome and demands to be made into something other than a shirt. I hope maybe you'll go with the blue black brown white color scheme I keep asking for.

Don't feel bad @Filthy. I suggested a UHF scarf that also went over like a lead balloon  😃 But, I guess that wouldn't be very practical if riding a motorcycle. Maybe a UHF neck gaiter in an ombre pattern?

Wow, that would be awesome. That's a bonus too if you can find spare fabric laying around, that way you're not wasting anything. Most other scarves I see on the market appear to be made of wool and are very thin, so i'm curious if 12oz aspero cotton would make a good scarf due to its thickness. The question is, would it be double brushed or single brushed? Not sure if that makes a difference when it comes to warmth. I'm a big fan of the way the inside of all UHF's are double brushed for softness.
