Saw them a lot. The only one I ever talked to was Billy Fica the drummer.Really good band.
I mean this in the nicest possible way but, you total bastard
With the exception of the obvious (The Ramones), I got into the music of the NYC punk scene through my love for a British post-punk band, The Sisters of Mercy. Their lead singer was a huge fan of Alan Vega and Suicide. Discovering Suicide was a huge thing for me at age 19 as until then I was deeply sceptical towards anything keyboard driven. What happened next is a long story but the one chapter would be me getting to know all about Television, The New York Dolls, Johnny Thunders and so on. I bloody love how the British and American punk scenes from that era are so different in their starting point, development and denouement, but both so glorious.

Just alphabetised my death metal cds. Over 500 in this part of my collection alone

@Stuart.T
ace - shame pics not in focus so we can inspect….although obv. i can make out a few -
@MastersOfDeath thanks mate. I didn't realise it was so out of focus until you pointed it out. It's a good collection I've put together over a few decades now. Some cds have come and gone, but the core is pretty solid. Rarest is probably Gorement, but I have just about all the classic Finnish, Swedish, Danish, UK, Dutch, German, and USA bands. The weak spot is South American bands. They are super expensive these days and there are too many bootlegs to take a chance on buying on the net worth the risk.

I hear you. The shock/surprise/disappointment when you receive a bootleg is just…. ??? :o
Had to pull up a seller on Discogs recently. I was replacing lost CDs, (when you're just left with the box ::) .) MF tried to pass off some lame bootleg ,hat wasn't even listed on Discogs - after polite threats refund was sorted.I'm a nosey fecker and do like a peek at peoples music collection.

@Stuart.T great collection. Some of them you can read - Altars of Madness, Terrorizer and Death-Human scream at you. Although I never was a huge fan of the whole genre these bands/records and of course Bolt Thrower are favourites of mine.
As for autumn tunes (finally it started to pour and is windy) - These are my favourites:
Also, I always come back to Neil Young's Harvest around this time of year.

Saw E-Town yesterday, one of the best shows this year, great band and really powerful with "only" 4 dudes on stage and just one guitar.

@illo59 I remember seeing e town at the Stone Pony in New Jersey in the late 90s. It was hilarious. They pulled up in convertible jeeps with really bad gangsta rap booming. They all had one leg rolled up on the joggers. The show was insane, but they did act up the gangsta thing way to much for my tastes (me being vegan sxe back then, and listening to a LOT of Ebullition records bands haha).
That said, it's great to see some of these bands still putting records out and touring. Ah the nostalgia!

As Springsteen Fan I'm jalous of you having been to the Stone Pony!

@Max Power Autumn and great doom albums…a marriage made in hell haha. Agalloch were just so incredible. The name of some members new band eludes me, but they are good too.
I'm so very OCD and it feels great to have sorted my death metal cds. Death Metal isn't for everyone, and I've never been one for slam or gore death given that I'm not 13 years old! But seriously, check out some of the dark and gloomy old style bands coming out these days, they are awesome! I'll link a couple later

@Stuart.T Yeah, when The Mantle came out I was a Fanclub member of the Prophecy Label and they had it licensed. I then ordered the first records / EPs from the U.S….good times. IMO the Mantle has never been outdone by them. I recall driving through the Thuringian Forest during a Blizzard playing it - intense!
Looking forward to your links.
By the way, MGLA will be headlining the Hell over Hammaburg Festival (already had tickets) - that will be awesome.

Haha, i can imagine that. Yeah, some of those bands went a bit too hard into tuff guy and rap. Kind of cheesy cliché and too much for me also but really good show and i guess most of the crowd felt very nostalgic, i think no one was under 30 years, what makes an old ass hardcore show. They kicked ass pretty hard though.
in terms of ebullition, i got the monster x 7" recorded on tape by a dude in the late 90ies and they blew me away. i think i still have it somewhere…. still good:
