I don’t think it would ever be possible for Foo Fighters or anyone else,for that matter,to emulate the heart, soul and feeling Black Sabbath had as the original artist. Having said that I feel Foo Fighters and Zach Brown gave it their all and were as respectful of the original as they could be. That’s a tough song to cover. I’m a huge Foo Fighters fan,and A Black Sabbath fan. Obviously I’m OK with it. Having been a lifelong musician I know from experience the pit falls of covering another artist’s work. Once did an unplugged version of Highway to Hell,which did not go well with my friends that were AC/DC fans.

Great Cover, i think it's cool when you do a cover and you kind of try to do your own interpretation of the song, what imo was done pretty good by Dave & Co - but I'm with @Stuart.T on this one: Sabbath definitely!

With the exception of the obvious (The Ramones), I got into the music of the NYC punk scene through my love for a British post-punk band, The Sisters of Mercy. Their lead singer was a huge fan of Alan Vega and Suicide. Discovering Suicide was a huge thing for me at age 19 as until then I was deeply sceptical towards anything keyboard driven. What happened next is a long story but the one chapter would be me getting to know all about Television, The New York Dolls, Johnny Thunders and so on. I bloody love how the British and American punk scenes from that era are so different in their starting point, development and denouement, but both so glorious.

@MastersOfDeath thanks mate. I didn't realise it was so out of focus until you pointed it out. It's a good collection I've put together over a few decades now. Some cds have come and gone, but the core is pretty solid. Rarest is probably Gorement, but I have just about all the classic Finnish, Swedish, Danish, UK, Dutch, German, and USA bands. The weak spot is South American bands. They are super expensive these days and there are too many bootlegs to take a chance on buying on the net worth the risk.

Had to pull up a seller on Discogs recently. I was replacing lost CDs, (when you're just left with the box ::) .) MF tried to pass off some lame bootleg ,hat wasn't even listed on Discogs - after polite threats refund was sorted.I'm a nosey fecker and do like a peek at peoples music collection.

@Stuart.T great collection. Some of them you can read - Altars of Madness, Terrorizer and Death-Human scream at you. Although I never was a huge fan of the whole genre these bands/records and of course Bolt Thrower are favourites of mine.
As for autumn tunes (finally it started to pour and is windy) - These are my favourites:
Also, I always come back to Neil Young's Harvest around this time of year.
