Ticketmaster needs to be dismantled and their entire corporate governance drawn and quartered.

New music purchased this week on CD. Great death metal, hip hop, and indie rock

I, too, am feeling nostalgic today.

Good selections all…and if we are getting all nostalgic...I was a conflicted teenager. Owned these then, own these now...

We are child free and having a night stopover in London this weekend to see this amazing gal Julien Baker at Shepherds Bush Empire, then Son of Stag and Sunday Upmarket.
If you live with, or know someone who lives with mental health issues she will cut to your core…

Dang, I feel old. ^^Mogwai was the last band I saw live back in '08 for the Hawk Is Howling tour.

@gaseousclay I am more selective when booking gigs these days. When I played in bands I went to shows 3 times a week. I'd rather be with my family these days.
Last year the best gigs I attended were Swans, Slowdive, Natalie Merchant, Iron Maiden, Ani Difranco. Later this year we are off to see Slowdive support The War on Drugs…It will be euphoric!

I'm in a similar boat…i'd rather spend time with my son these days. However, my concert attendance fell off a cliff when I first met my ex. She absolutely hated the music I listened to (anything with loud guitars) and even called into question why I needed so many records and cd's ??? Never thought in a million years that i'd have to explain to someone that my love of music is why I have a record collection.

I really dig what these guys are doing. Obviously very much influenced by classic rock and very Zeppelin esque, but probably one of the more original sounding bands I've heard in a long time. They sound great live as well which is always a bonus. Singer has a great voice. I believe they are out of Michigan.

Really digging this one at the moment:
