RE: sale.
it's the same if any retailer keeps on going on sale. then the customers will always look forward towards the sale and not buy anything full price. in the long term, this impacts a retailer greatly as nobody will ever look to come in and buy anything unless there is a sale. unfortunately, for a small business, unlike the heavyweights like H&M or Uniqlo, we do not have an extensive product line where certain items can cover the shortfall of the items that are going into sale.
at that point, the majority of your customers will most likely only come in only when there's a sale.
Like J.Crew and their perpetual sales. They offer some nice 3rd party stuff and i'm not opposed to their sales by any means, but every week they're discounting something. They've closed 50 stores last year and will close another 20 this year. Not surprised at all. When I see their discounts I look at their stuff and tell myself i'd never pay full price for anything they offer. When they mark stuff down every week they're saying, "we can't sell this stuff at full price so we're letting it go @ 60% off. They're still probably making a small profit when you consider where their stuff is made but the perception is that their product isn't worth paying full price for.

And J Crew have outlets.
I'm glad I'm not in retail or merchandising. It's really hard.
-
^ That, with the only Exception that if my Local Dealer when I ask him if he has Sale Next Week and he says No I´ll probably be pissed. Online no one can expect to get those Infos not from IH and especially not from Eastdane, the People who work there are Lemmings, if one of them would give such Infos away, incase he even has them, he would most certanly get fired.
This has happened to me before and it did bother me, at the time. If the SA’s are aware there will be a promotion the following week and someone asks you about potential upcoming sales, I don’t see an issue in divulging that information. Otherwise, rather than be intentionally deceived, i’d prefer the honest answer outlined by Giles above.

i suppose just from personal experience with that fast fashion company where i used to work..
their role with merchandising is that, they have their priority products which are produced at a greater margin that'll never go into sale, or at the very least the remnants of that season. their usually low in quantity but has a higher price point. and there's stuff where they plan for and receive that are absolutely huge in quantity. when you've received something like that, you immediately know that it'll go into sale without a doubt.
at the same time, with planning. their reorder point/ replenishment seems off to me and unpredictable. i'm not sure if that's because the australian market is on opposite ends to the rest of the world. but i can only speak for the australian seasons and not european/us seasons

Personally, if I bought an item full price and it went on sale the next day I wouldn't care and wouldn't contact the retailer asking for a refund/credit. I paid full price because I thought the thing was worth what I paid.

@Seul your hand has a softer, more feminine quality than I'd imagined. Really quite exquisite…and who does your nails sister?!
-
@Seul I’m gonna have to put up or shut up regarding heavy IH gear in the heat. It’s currently 95F here with 70% humidity and I have the 888 xhsib arriving tomorrow.

The world is full of d-bags. Took my son to McDonald's yesterday and some dude who looked like he was on steroids was at the counter returning a burger, which I presume had a hair on it, or some such thing. He wanted a new one made for him, which is fair, but then proceeds to tell the cashier, "what are you gonna do for me since i've been inconvenienced? A chocolate shake would be fair. I mean, I'm no cheapskate; i've got $3000 in the bank and $100 cash on me right now."
I don't get how some people are so entitled. He says he's not a cheapskate but then asks for a free shake which is the very definition of being a cheapskate. And he takes it out on the cashier who's not making enough money to put up with his crap. ::)

Working at McDonald’s is something every young person should do. It makes you quite driven to do (or not do) whatever is needed to not work there ever again.

That's why I would never move to a big City. You just get more d-bags in industrial quantities

I have a IHUK package inbound, to make everything safe I changed to delivery to a DPD pick-up Shop.
Delivery guy did not found the shop today and I am not at home the next days. -
@UnTucked you are 100% allowed to ask her to keep it down. If you want to of course. But that’s a breach of etiquette on her part. Let em tip bro.

This one goes out to my fellow Texas residents:
Torchy's Tacos isn't worth the hassle. The food quality to wait time ratio is terrible.
