…am I right in thinking this isn’t necessary as the 21oz is sanforized and once washed?

      You are indeed.

You just might get a tad bit of shrinkage in the length which is why it's generally a good idea to soak and agitate them a bit before hemming or just take a little less off if you aren't going to soak/wash before hemming.  You should be good though.

I’ve washed 21oz on 90C Max spin and nothing has happened. Any tightening you get from a wash can be countered by giving the inseam a long hard pull, (as the actress said to the bishop) while still wet from a wash.

How do you usually wash yours?

I generally wash in the bath at a fairly low temp and hang dry or 30c in machine no spin cycle.

Will probably wash these in the bath and I might make sure I stretch inseam before they dry just to be sure!

I chuck them in the machine on 30 or 40 depending on how dirty they are. Always line dry.

I have never got any shrinkage in the length on any of my pairs in the 21oz. I have washed them hot with high spin and never noticed it.
I wouldn’t worry yours will be fine.

I hand wash them in the bath, low temp, hang dry.  Like I said it's a very small amount of shrinkage and I'm sure you'll be fine.  I can only really notice it because of the cuff line.  I cuff my jeans and wearing them for an extended period before the first soak sets a line where the cuff folds.  After the first wash I end up having to cuff just a tad bit lower than initial line that was set pre soak…if that makes sense.

Yeah, -ish. It’s barely worth considering.

                              Hi all,

Looking for an objective opinion on these. They don't feel too tight and I have plenty of mobility, but wanted to see what others thought. I think they make look a little better when they get hemmed up to the right length, but wanted to check here before I do that. The thighs aren't as wide as I'd like, but if this cut doesn't work for me, no IH cuts will.

@Chad  that looks a very good 888 fit to me. The hemming will make them feel much more natural and this is the 21oz denim so the thighs will stretch out a little and relax as will the waist. I’d be very pleased with that fit.

I think that's a pretty good fit as is, and like neph says, the 21 oz denim is good for some stretch some in the thighs, if you're worried about that area.  They'll settle in nicely after a hem.

The flat head has little details like the stamped custom-made brass buckles on the belts and boots. Stamping their logo into their belts and not just using a gold ink stamp that wears off. Sounds petty I know.
