Today was a long and epic day! Back story: I’ve been riding bikes with a group of about 10-15 close friends at the wee hours of the morning before work for the last couple years now. We call ourselves the 5am crew.

So, today 7 of us decided to drive out to sisters Oregon for a ride over McKenzie Pass before the US forest service opens it up to car traffic. We left Boring, Oregon at 0400 and drove over Mt. Hood to Sisters. From there we rode 30 miles over the pass to Belknap hotsprings where we soaked and caught some rays for about an hour. Then we rode 30 miles back to the trucks. The ride was full of amazing views and great times! Brutal climbing and high speeds made the day one to remember! The total elevation gain was 5,500 feet!

Not much happened over the weekend… kids were sick and the weather was bad so we hung out indoors for the most part...

Took the wife out for dinner and a stroll through the Gardens at McMenamins Edgefield tonight. Great times, and we almost completed our Edgefield Page in our McMenamins passports, the spa was closed [emoji26]

Pretty cool day for me, I realized that after loosing 30 lbs I’m able to fit into my grandpas old Wrangler and maverick work shirts! It’s a cool feeling working with my dad while wearing the shirts that his dad wore to work in… anyway, here’s a few snaps of one of the shirts and some more random pictures.
