There was a portly, gnome-like, backwards trilby wearing hippie next to us at Paul Simon the other night creating his own light show by constantly shaking his phone in video mode right in front of his face. It was a new form of smartphone ADD for me.

I've got experience at this too but I take the opposite approach, I mingle. Better than sitting there staring at the phone cause dammit that's what's wrong with society today, now get off my lawn. Plus there's usually single mom's there…never know....might meet the next mrs gaseous.

Yeah yer right. I just dislike the fake pleasantries that go along with this sorta thing. I hear what you're saying though. I know a millenial that spends a lot of time texting on her phone, whereas, i'm glad to have time away from mine. @manufc10:

The bday party is supposed to be 3 hrs. I told my boy 1 hr and we're leaving. He's not technically friends with the bday boy but with his brother. Makes it easier for me to leave and not give 2 shits

Freakin' ParcelForce…..
-I ordered something from Japan. EMS forwarded the package to ParcelForce for the UK leg of the delivery.
-On the ParcelForce website, I'm able to track the package with the original EMS tracking number. The tracking updates says that they've attempted delivery twice, and today will be the third time, but I have not received a delivery slip or anything stating that they will redeliver since I wasn't home.
-I tried to schedule a delivery time, or pick-up from the depot, but I can't because I didn't get a delivery card with a ParcelForce tracking number.
-I called the helpline, and they can't help me either, because I don't have a ParcelForce tracking number, even though they can see the package in the system by it's EMS tracking number.How does this make sense?!

he's got such amazing personality on all his episodes. i remember seeing a couple of the ones where he was in vietnam alone and with obama and eating at jiro-san's sushi place. what a legend. RIP

I became aware of Anthony Bourdain whilst enjoying his TV shows, No Reservations and The Layover.
He will be sadly missed . . . . . . .
