Yes, from the fall.  The local "Doctor", Mo, a fishing captain from Kenya, "where we don't do medicine like you know it", says it is a vein or artery that has been misplaced to the top of the muscle.  Lateral movement is the issue and this thing (Mo's personal knee thingy), helps a lot.  He insisted that I wear it at home.  He saw me walking this morning and announced "you're getting better aren't you Jules".  The local crew refuse to call me Giles because that is Somali for love…....

Sounds like, and I hope it’s not your ACL.

Just googled that and it sounds like a Grade 1 ACL sprain.

We'll have to see how things go.  I get home in about 25 hours and then fly off to Tokyo and LA, so will be on the road for another 2 weeks.

I can see «Love Padmore» being an issue…

Sprained ACL will sort itself out... My knee problem is a torn PCL which won’t. Worse case scenario, get a scan in Tokyo.
