While this is meant to be a compliment, IMHO I would argue IH has not "reverse-engineered", but rather, re-invented to such a degree that it flat out blows away any fabric or construction of jeans made here in the US (with all due respect to ethically made US jeans) or pretty much anywhere.

Provenance is only important to those who think it's important, just like anything else. However, if you make it a cornerstone of your marketing then say it isn't important you will suffer some serious credibility issues.

to be fair, even though the clothing we buy can't be compared to priceless antiquities I do believe that provenance is important. I certainly don't speak for anyone here but one of the reasons I like IH is because of where they're made and who is making them.

Not sure if anybody has pointed this out here yet or not. I was looking at the Wikipedia page for denim on a whim and I noticed the second image from top on the right side of the page. Instantly recognized the IH western shirt construction, and sure enough, it is indeed an IH shirt. IHSH-27BK to be exact.

I'm speculating because, in addition to the color, if you look closely at the picture (next to his sunglasses) it almost looks like it's the Iron Heart tag on the pocket. Or, maybe i'm just seeing things that aren't there
