The wife and I are looking to take our Anniversary trip somewhere new in Early June of this year.

We are trying to find somewhere we have not been, has a lot of activities, and is not ridiculously expensive to spend 3-4 days at.

We live at the beach, so beach destinations are out.

      My top choices:

      Portland
      Los Angeles
      Charleston, SC
      Taos, New Mexico

I have been to Charleston and Taos, but the wife has not.

      Thinking activities such as:
Kayaking, Hiking, maybe an Amusement Park (we don’t have them in Alabama - big surprise I know lol)
      Dining, shopping, museums, etc.

Where do you guys like to travel to with your significant other?

      Thanks!

Really liked Denver. Go see a concert at Red Rocks,go to Boulder to Rocky Mtn National Park or down to Colorado Springs to the Garden of the Gods. Lots of great restaurants. Easy to fly into.

@Appfaff My wife and I went to Alaska (the Anchorage area) last fall and it was one of the best trips I've ever been on.

I don't know what your budget is, but I'm sure Alaska has activities that would fit pretty much anything.

Some of the things we did that we loved there:

          Lots of hiking
Took a helicopter trip and walked a glacier
Took a scenic train tour to another city (Seward)
Ate a ton of great food

You won’t be satisfied until you wear Iron Heart.

If you have the time and inclination, go to SE Asia.  I had a blast in Hanoi.
If you want the US, try the Grand Canyon because I found that pretty interesting yet ridiculously hot and I can deal with the heat.

On your top 4 list, I would recommend Portland. Lots to do and eat. As far as that goes, there's lots of great places in Oregon. LA is nice but you would spend half your time sitting in traffic. My favorite city in the states is San Diego. Just my 1 cent worth.

+1 for Alaska. Colorado and New mexico are great too but be mindful of altitude changes and time to adjust.

I will second this!  Spent a week at the Grove Park Inn and the food was outstanding!  While we were there, took a guided day trip to the Biltmore and around Asheville.  Beautiful town and great experience!

Yes, The IH-666S.  It was my first attempt at designing a jean and speccing a denim…..

I'm very proud of the 25oz denim.

And UHF.  H had given up on making it because the guy who weaves it "has moved to another mill, and I do not know where".  I "suggested" he found out where the guy had moved to and start making it again......

for me (IMHO) 25oz is the best denim, ever.

UHR is very, very close second, but I was late to the party and have only had minimal experience with it…hoping H can track that guy down and bring it back.
