The redye went well. I went for a dye than is applied in the washing machine, turned them inside out and dyed them at 40 Celsius.
First of all, if you do not want your leather patch to be dyed, remove it before the Prozess or it will get dyed as well.
Overall I am pretty satisfied with the outcome. It did not turn completely black, but black enough to mostly cover up the damage and make it look like slight fades.
I‘ll post what dye I used when I‘m back home.

My philosophy is buy a bit large and loose and then wash the fuck out of it. No need to think about it that way.
@der Anschiss I like your advice, I'm a fan of that method as well. I wash and wear several of my other Iron Heart shirts weekly. For this garment the fit is spot on post wash so I guess i just need to drop some weight and I'm all good

5th day at the Dakar rally. Stephane Loeb is big news as he exits the race after his copilot hurt his spine when the car fell into a hole in the sand.
The race went from sea level in the desert to freezing high mountains within three hours as it moves from Chile to Bolivia.
This is dutch racer Bekker's car crossing a 4800 m pass right after an unexpected snowstorm.
My IHT-1721 and lined IH-527J-SP weren't warm enough!
